NO FEAR of DEATH

As I sit here motionless, thinking, I’ve come to realize,
We’re all born only to die, the sight of death brings fear into our lives,
Think about it, we all take it for granted – I mean –
Look and your eyes blink, touch and your hands move,
But there will come a day when that privilege will pass away,
When all you’re allowed to do is lay inside a wooden box with a fresh bucay,
Clean creased two-peace suit and a peaceful resting look,
While your love ones mourn listing names inside a book,
All that’s left are photographs, memories highlighting your past life,
Am I right – sometimes I feel like I’m the only one, who felt should die,
Death we shouldn’t fear but only try and understand,
Where do we go from here when we’ve run short of time?
Are there a heaven & a hell? Or just eternal darkness,
That’s the question we all will come to answer ourselves,
We’ve all grown with the thought of fearing death,
Until my last breath I felt the same way,
But maybe death is so beautiful & so natural that fear was spawned
Only to prevent us from short life spans,
To live until our time is truly up, struggling, terrified, gasping for air,
I think its fare to say now I’m not afraid and can’t wait,
For that one lingering moment when pain is no longer felt,
When my soul is free leaving behind these flesh & bone tomb,
And my fear of death...
